Registration Information

Registration now open!

Online registration must be secured with a valid credit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Should you have any questions or require assistance with registration, please contact ASAM at 301.656.3920 or email us at meetings@ASAM.org.

ASAM 57th Annual Conference Registration

Full Conference | Single Day | Guests & Groups | Pre-Conference Courses

Dates & Times:

These are the dates and times for the main conference content. Pre-conference courses, regional meetings, special interest group discussions, and some fun and fitness activities occur outside of these times. Please check the full schedule for more information. Pre-Conference Courses take place Thursday, April 23, 2026, and are subject to an additional registration fee.

What is included?

*All content will be recorded and made available on-demand in the ASAM eLearning Center within 2-4 weeks following the live event. All full conference registrants will get access to this content until May 30, 2029.

(*) ASAM Members must be up-to-date on their 2026 dues in order to receive the member registration discount for the 57th Annual Conference. Those who have not paid their dues will be registered as a non-member and charged the non-member rate.

(**) Residents, Fellows-in-training, Interns, and Students must join ASAM to receive a discounted registration rate.

Single Day Conference Registration

What is included?

If you are unable to attend the full conference, you can select single-day registration. This registration rate includes entrance to sessions, the exhibit hall, and networking events on only the selected date. Single-day registrants do not qualify for free access to on-demand conference recordings in the ASAM eLearning Center. Pre-Conference Courses take place Thursday, April 23, 2026, and are subject to an additional registration fee.

Other Conference Registration

Guest Registration

Guest registration is only available for Full Conference registrants. A guest is defined as a spouse, significant other, friend, or an adult child (18 or over) who is NOT in an addiction medicine related occupation. Co-workers or associates in the field may not use the guest registration category.

Guest registrations gain access to all ASAM events and activities, except for the pre-conference courses and the eLearning Center. Guests are not eligible to claim CME/Credit.

Group Registration

ASAM offers tiered group discounts for organizations registering 5 or more attendees. Groups of 5–9 receive 10% off, and groups of 10 or more receive 15% off. If you have more than 20 attendees, please contact ASAM at meetings@asam.org to coordinate registration, payment, and additional pricing options. Resident and student registration rates are not eligible for discounts but can be included in your overall group count.

Pre-Conference Course Registration

What is included?

You may register for one pre-conference course. Both full-day pre-conference offerings take place on:

Benzodiazepine Tapering Decisions: Basic Principles through Complex Management

*Separate Registration Required
This benzodiazepine tapering course focuses on enhancing patient engagement and readiness, managing complex withdrawal, and addressing unique clinical needs and co-occurring conditions. Through peer discussions, reflection, patient cases, and collaborative learning, participants will review tapering protocols, standardized guidance, and best practices. By the end of the course, participants will have developed effective strategies and tools to safely and confidently guide patients through the tapering process.

Improving Care for Women with Substance Use Disorders: From Evidence to Action

This course emphasizes trauma-responsive, person-centered care and offers concrete strategies that can be implemented across diverse clinical settings to improve care for women with SUD. Through expert-led sessions, patient voice reflections, facilitated discussions, and practical implementation guidance, participants will leave with practical tools, increased confidence, and clearer pathways for applying evidence-based approaches.

Cancellation Policy

Notice of cancellation for the ASAM 57th Annual Conference, a guest registration, or a pre-conference activity must be made in writing and sent to refunds@asam.org. Cancellations will not be accepted by telephone. 

Cancellations received before January 1, 2026, will be refunded in full. Cancellations received between January 1, 2026, and March 12, 2026, will incur a $150 administrative fee. No refunds will be provided after March 12, 2026.

A refund that results from a cancellation or change to your registration will be returned to the original payer and in the original method of payment.
