These are the dates and times for the main conference content. Pre-conference courses, regional meetings, special interest group discussions, and some fun and fitness activities occur outside of these times. Please check the full schedule for more information. Pre-Conference Courses take place Thursday, April 24, 2025, and are subject to an additional registration fee.

What is included?

Three exciting general sessions and 60+ concurrent sessions*
Dynamic Poster Hall with 100+ posters and live presentations from the poster authors

*All content will be recorded and made available on-demand in the ASAM eLearning Center within 2-4 weeks following the live event. All full conference registrants will get access to this content until May 23, 2028.

(*) ASAM Members must be up-to-date on their 2025 dues in order to receive the member registration discount for the 56th Annual Conference. Those who have not paid their dues will be registered as a non-member and charged the non-member rate.

Single Day Conference Registration

What is included?

If you are unable to attend the full conference, you can select single-day registration. This registration rate includes entrance to sessions, the exhibit hall, and networking events on only the selected date. Single-day registrants do not qualify for free access to 24/7 on-demand conference recordings in the ASAM eLearning Center. Pre-Conference Courses take place Thursday, April 24, 2025, and are subject to an additional registration fee.

Friday, April 25, 2025: Conference sessions, general sessions, poster sessions, continental breakfast, refreshment breaks, lunch, exhibit hall access, and the evening attendee reception.
Saturday, April 26, 2025: Conference sessions, general sessions, poster sessions, continental breakfast, lunch, refreshment breaks, movie night, and exhibit hall access.
Sunday, April 27, 2025: Conference sessions, continental breakfast and refreshment break.

Other Conference Registration

Guest Registration

Guest registration is only available for Full Conference registrants. A guest is defined as a spouse, significant other, friend, or an adult child (18 or over) who is NOT in an addiction medicine related occupation. Co-workers or associates in the field may not use the guest registration category.

Guest registrations gain access to all ASAM events and activities, except for the pre-conference courses and the eLearning Center. Guests are not eligible to claim CME/Credit.

Group Registration

ASAM offers group discounts for organizations sending 5 or more attendees. Please reach out to meetings@asam.org to coordinate registration and payment.

Stimulant Use Disorder Course

Effectively managing stimulant use disorder requires a comprehensive, patient-centered approach. This course equips healthcare professionals with evidence-based tools to diagnose and treat stimulant use disorder, including harm reduction strategies, behavioral interventions, pharmacological treatments, and the management of acute intoxication. Special considerations for long-term health impacts and co-occurring medical or psychiatric conditions are also addressed, ensuring practitioners are prepared to deliver holistic care across various clinical settings.

ASAM Pain & Addiction: Common Threads Course XXVI

The ASAM Pain & Addiction: Common Threads Course is one of ASAM’s longest-running and most popular courses. This course will develop learners’ clinical skills and improve the treatment of patients who fall somewhere in the gray area around pain and addiction. Participants will learn clinical best practices and new research developments affecting treatment and how to integrate these techniques into their practices. This year’s course will utilize a dynamic mix of teaching methods including didactic presentations, complex patient cases, and debates between experts in the field.

Cancellation Policy

Notice of cancellation for the ASAM 56th Annual Conference, a guest registration, or a pre-conference activity must be made in writing and sent to refunds@asam.org. Cancellations will not be accepted by telephone.

Cancellations received before January 1, 2025, will be refunded in full. Cancellations received between January 1, 2025, and March 10, 2025, will incur a $150 administrative fee. No refunds will be provided after March 10, 2025.

A refund that results from a cancellation or change to your registration will be returned to the original payer and in the original method of payment.
