Frustrated by our health care system? Ever thought about how you might implement a new program or service within your clinic or hospital? Have you tried, only to be met with resistance? In this focus session, we will review gaps in adolescent SUD treatment, introduce two novel programs that were successfully developed by the presenters, and generalize knowledge and insight from these programs to help you effect change in your workplace and communities.

Learners will be able to:

Describe recent trends in adolescent substance use, existing evidence-based treatment modalities, and current gaps in care specific to the adolescent population
Identify common logistical, financial, and clinical challenges of developing adolescent SUD treatment programs, as well as strategies to overcome these barriers
Explore ways of implementing adolescent SUD services (or other new programs) within their workplace and communities
