Cayse M. Powell, MD, MPH is a Fellow in Preventive Medicine and General Public Health at Cook County Health and Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He completed a residency in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women's Health at the University of Louisville in 2017 and received an MPH at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2025. Dr. Powell is a person with lived experience, and is a physician in long term recovery. He has experience in caring and advocating for patients with SUDs, including pregnant and postpartum individuals and other marginalized populations and prescribing PrEP. He also have significant experience coordinating industry sponsored clinical drug trials. Dr. Powell's clinical and academic interests include maternal substance use disorders, LGBTQ+ health, and infectious disease as it relates to these populations.
