Ezra Lyon MD FASAM is a Family and Addiction Physician and the Associate Clinical Director for Integrated Addiction Treatment at Bridge Community Health Clinic, a federally qualified health center in Wausau Wisconsin. Ezra was born in central Kansas and grew up in Galesburg, Illinois. He attended Ohio State for medical school and completed a residency in Family Medicine at UW-Madison. Ezra worked as a full spectrum family physician at ThedaCare-Waupaca in rural northeastern Wisconsin for 5 years. While at ThedaCare, he led a major expansion of the use of medications for opioid use disorder in primary care, emergency department and inpatient settings. Since fall 2025, Ezra has worked at Bridge Clinic in Wausau where he practices outpatient primary and addiction care.
Ezra is the President-Elect of the Wisconsin Society of Addiction Medicine. He served in the past as WISAM Early Career Member and co-chair of the Conference Planning Committees for the 2024 WISAM Annual Conference and the 2025 ASAM Region VI Conference. His past projects include serving as medical director of the Wisconsin Buprenorphine Hotline, a pilot project to create a free telephone hotline for treatment of opioid use disorder throughout the state of Wisconsin.
