Dr. Hillary Tamar serves as a Territory Medical Director for Community Medical Services, providing leadership and oversight across Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin.
She began her academic journey at Marquette University, followed by medical education at Chicago Medical School. Dr. Tamar completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Arizona–Phoenix, and then pursued specialty training through a fellowship in Addiction Medicine at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.
Dr. Tamar’s professional interests include opioid treatment program regulations at both the federal and state levels, supporting pregnant patients with substance use disorders, and advancing harm reduction practices. She is dedicated to improving access to compassionate, evidence-based care.
