Sarah Messmer, MD is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). She provides primary care and low threshold substance use disorder treatment in partnership with a harm reduction and syringe service program run by the UIC School of Public Health, including a mobile van-based program. She is passionate about medical education, with a focus on teaching trainees about the management of substance use disorder.
