Camilo Zaks, MD, FAAFP is the Medical Director of USC Street Medicine, as well as a Clinical Associate Professor of Family Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. He is board certified in Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine. Dr. Zaks is a graduate of Harvard University, the Keck School of Medicine of USC, the Family Medicine Residency Program at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center, the CHCF/UCSF Health Care Leadership Program and a current fellow of the American Departments of Family Medicine LEADS Program.
At USC Street Medicine, Dr. Zaks has overseen growth in scope and scale of the practice, including the integration of Prenatal Care, Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, Social Work, and Enhanced Care Management programs.
Prior to Street Medicine, Dr. Zaks spent 8 years as Core Faculty at the California Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program and 4 years working in the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services in a variety of clinical, teaching and leadership roles.
Dr. Zaks has spent his career caring for vulnerable populations, teaching in medical education and working to improve health systems.
