John is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor working as the Social Worker for the Yale Addiction Medicine Consult Service where he provides clinical support for patients who suffer from serious medical problems related to substance abuse disorders. He has been at Yale since 2022 and also works as a clinician in group practice where he focuses on clients with AUD. John also worked extensively in marketing, advertising, and retail photo management. His work in marketing consulting included working closely with Dr. C. Everett Koop on Dr. Koop’s Shape Up America! Campaign for Healthy Weight which John likes to consider amends for all his earlier work marketing Canada Dry, Pepsi, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and McDonald’s products. He is a veteran of the Vietnam War where he served as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Field Artillery and was awarded a Bronze Star for Service.
