Margaret Jarvis, MD is the Chief of Education in the Behavioral Health Institute for the Geisinger Health System. She was the medical director of Marworth Treatment Facility. She is credentialed by ABPM and ABPN in addiction medicine and general and addiction psychiatry. She has been very involved in work for ASAM and ABAM/ABPM throughout her career.
She has served 6 terms on the ASAM Board and has been the Secretary and Vice President. She has been the chair of the ASAM Quality Improvement Council and currently sit on the ASAM Criteria Steering Committee, where she previously served as chair. She is co-editor of the ASAM Criteria for Behavioral Addictions, currently in development.
