Dr. Montague (she/her) is a pediatrician specialized in medical toxicology, and addiction medicine. She attended medical school and residency at the University of Minnesota, followed by a fellowship in toxicology at Health Partners Institute in St. Paul. She has practiced as a hospitalist, caring for children and newborns, and as a medical toxicologist before pursuing additional training as an addiction medicine physician. Currently, she provides specialized care for hospitalized children of all ages affected by accidental poisonings, intentional overdoses, or substance use disorders. Meeting adolescents in crisis from depression or substance use disorders and helping them find hope on their path to healing is a specific passion of hers. As is providing compassionate, non-judgmental care for infant/parent dyads affected by substance use and advocating for equitable care for populations affected by those issues. She has presented at the local, regional, national, and international levels to expand education on these topics. She is the chair of the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology pediatric section, and the medical director of the Toxicology and Addiction Medicine service line at Children's Minnesota.
