Michelle R. Dalton, PhD, LPC is an assistant professor of Medical Family Therapy in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Saint Louis University, where they supervise in an interdisciplinary opioid reduction clinic for patients with chronic pain. Dr. Dalton's research focuses on developing interventions for reducing the impact of minority stressors on substance use disorders and mental health outcomes. They previously served as a project coordinator for a NIAA grant for a intervention to reduce hazardous alcohol use for people living with HIV. Dr. Dalton has worked with individuals with substance use disorders in both outpatient community mental health and private practice.
