Yen-Han Lee, M.P.H., Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Dpeartment of Health Sciences at University of Central Florida. My research is largely related to the adoption of quantiative methods in the social behavioral aspect of public health. My research program focuses on two major areas. The first focuses on lifestyle factors, such as dietary behaviors and traditional substance uses (i.e. cigarette smoking and alcohol), and social determinants of health within the Asian and Asian American populations. A significant component of this research examines geriatric health, including health behaviors, lifestyle factors, and the prevalence of chronic conditions such as cognitive impairment and sleep disorders. The second research track examines substance use among adult and older adult populations at a global level. This work encompasses the use of traditional cigarettes, alcohol, opioids, marijuana, hallucinogens, and other illicit drugs. I frequently utilize large national datasets, such as the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) and the Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health (PATH), to explore patterns and predictors of substance use.
