The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University
Amy Arthur is a second-year medical student at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She holds a B.S. in Healthcare Management and Policy from Indiana University and an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. Before entering medical school, Amy worked in public health policy, focusing on harm reduction initiatives. She served as the Director of Public and Government Affairs for Harm Reduction Therapeutics, a nonprofit dedicated to increasing access to naloxone, where she contributed to the development of ReVive, a 3mg intranasal naloxone product. Amy's clinical experience includes a counseling internship at a federally funded infectious disease clinic, where she worked with individuals living with HIV and hepatitis C. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Vermont Cares, a nonprofit providing harm reduction services across Vermont. Amy completed a research assistantship with the testRI project under the mentorship of Dr. Rachel Wightman which will be the focus of her poster.
