Margaret (Meg) Carter, MD, is an internal medicine resident at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Prior to attending medical school and internal medicine residency, she worked for the Health Commissioner's Office within the Philadelphia Department of Public Health on projects related to health equity in HIV/AIDS and in harm reduction services for people with substance use disorders. Her research interests are in acute management of polystubstance use withdrawal and in developing withdrawal management resources for Hospital Medicine/General Medicine providers.
