Dr. Hassan is the Chief Resident in Family Medicine with a strong focus on addiction medicine and medical education. He has matched into the Adolescent Substance Use and Addiction Program at Boston Children's Hospital for fellowship training, where he will specialize in the treatment of substance use disorders in youth and young adults.
As Chief Resident, Dr. Hassan has led initiatives in resident education and quality improvement, particularly in integrating addiction medicine into primary care. His work focuses on reducing stigma in addiction treatment and enhancing physician training in management of opioid use disorder. He is an active member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the American College of Academic Addiction Medicine, and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
