Ismail Deniz, MD, is an Addiction Psychiatry Fellow at UCLA in Los Angeles, CA, specializing in substance use disorders across child, adolescent, and adult populations. His research focuses on neurobiological mechanisms of addiction and innovative neuromodulation therapies, including transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), to reduce addictive behaviors. Dr. Deniz has contributed to publications on neuromodulation in depression and co-authored a forthcoming book chapter on stimulant use disorders in neurodegenerative conditions. A member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), he will present "Neuromodulation in Transitional Age Youth Substance Use Disorders: A Narrative Review" at the conference.
