Clinical Research Coordinator
Mass General/Harvard University
Kelly Johnson (she/her), B.S. is a clinical research assistant in the Pedi-Adolescent Medicine department at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is a graduate of West Chester University of Pennsylvania (WCU), where she studied psychology and health science. There, she was co-founder and president of the WCU Chapter Students for Sensible Drug Policy, in which she advocated and spoke out to the community about harm reduction strategies and drug education. She was also part of a team to develop WCU’s Naloxone Program, in which students, faculty, and staff can now easily access naloxone and other related drug education and support. Her research interests include advancing harm reduction strategies and protective behavioral interventions for substance use, particularly involving cannabis, psychedelics, and opioids. She aims to bridge clinical research with community-focused approaches by integrating these strategies into evidence-based practices for addiction prevention and treatment. Additionally, she seeks to investigate how harm reduction strategies can improve neuropsychological outcomes for individuals with substance use disorders. She hopes to one day become a clinical psychologist and continue working in the field of addiction and harm reduction education.
