Brooke Bender, MPH is the Administrative Director for Denver Health's Center for Addiction Medicine (CAM). Ms. Bender has helped CAM implement a hub-and-spoke model of addiction medicine since 2019. In this role, Ms. Bender executes the strategic plan by establishing workgroup charters, identifying leaders and members, establishing key performance indicators, holding teams accountable, and communicating updates across the Denver Health system. Ms. Bender leads and supports multidisciplinary staff and teams vertically and horizontally across the Denver Health system; creates awareness of the CAM by developing communication materials; partners with internal and external champions from across the region to enhance access to substance use treatment; and is designing a start up program to reduce stigma and expand knowledge, skills, and system’s change across the region. Ms. Bender has over 15 years of professional experience in the areas of: public health, prevention, evaluation, research, program development.
