Kevin Wenzel, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist and the director of research at Maryland Treatment Centers based in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Wenzel provides research oversight to the study staff and projects, participates in the design and implementation of clinical trials and other research projects, and disseminates results through presentations and other scholarly work. Recent scientific funding includes projects to design and test of a multi-component behavioral intervention to improve medication compliance in adolescents and young adults with opioid use disorder, a peer recovery support services intervention to improve medication uptake and adherence for adults with opioid use diosorder, and a project to adapt and test written exposure therapy for posttraumtic stress disorder delivered in residential addiction treatment settings. He is fully funded by research grants from the National Institute of Health.
