Dr. Pamela Mund serves as the Chief of Addiction Medicine for the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS), providing addiction-related medical guidance for the NYS operated and licensed substance use disorder and recovery treatment programs including the twelve OASAS state-operated Addiction Treatment Centers. In July of 2024, Dr. Mund assumed the role of the NYS SOTA (the State Opioid Treatment Authority) as part of the Chief of Addiction Medicine responsibilities.
Prior to joining OASAS in 2022, Dr. Mund worked for 23 years as an internal medicine physician with specialties in addiction and HIV medicine providing direct patient care to persons with substance use disorders, providing all forms of medications for addiction treatment in a variety of treatment settings. Dr. Mund’s most recent direct patient care experience was in an opioid treatment program in the Bronx, NY.
