Elisabeth Johnson, PhD, FNP-BC, CARN-AP, LCAS, is the Division Director of UNC Horizons, a comprehensive treatment program for pregnant and parenting individuals with substance use disorders within the UNC Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. A family nurse practitioner with over 25 years of experience in women's health and addiction treatment, Dr. Johnson leads integrated clinical services, program development, and workforce training initiatives across North Carolina. She is a board member of both the NC Society of Addiction Medicine and the Addictions Nursing Certification Board. Her work focuses on trauma-responsive care, interdisciplinary models, and improving outcomes for families affected by substance use.
