BronxCare
Maham Qamer is an MS4 at the American University of the Caribbean and affiliated with BronxCare Department of Psychiatry. Her academic interests include addiction psychiatry, reproductive and perinatal mental health, and culturally responsive care for underserved populations. She has been involved in curriculum development and research focused on improving education, reducing stigma, and enhancing access to evidence-based treatment for substance use disorders. She is particularly interested in the intersection of addiction, women’s mental health, and public psychiatry. Through her work, she aims to integrate clinical care, education, and advocacy to improve outcomes for marginalized communities.
