Medical Student
The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences
Casey Lanham is a second-year medical student at George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, DC. His interest in addiction medicine began in undergrad at the University of Maryland, where he joined the university's American Medical Student Association chapter and worked on a committee on harm reduction in substance use among college students. During his time in medical school he has sought to learn more about how social determinants of health impact an individuals' experience with addiction, as well as how providers in all fields can play a role in treating addiction. This is his first year attending ASAM's annual conference and he is excited to explore the field further and connect with other professionals!
