Medical Student
The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences
My name is Casey Lanham, I am a second-year medical student at George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, DC. My interest in addiction medicine began in undergrad at the University of Maryland, where I joined my university's American Medical Student Association chapter and worked on a committee on harm reduction in substance use among college students. During my time in medical school I have sought to learn more about how social determinants of health impact an individuals' experience with addiction, as well as how providers in all fields can play a role in treating addiction. This is my first year attending ASAM's annual conference and I'm excited to explore the field further and connect with other professionals!
