Cherise Thomas is a fourth-year medical student at Emory University School of Medicine. She graduated from Emory College of Arts and Sciences with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Chemistry. She plans to train in combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, and would like to be a dual community hospitalist. Her research is on the use of peer recovery coaches (PRCs) in acute care settings, and she would like to inform how best to utilize PRCs in the management of patients with substance use disorders.
