Pharmacist
Albertsons Companies
My name is Sarah Abib, PharmD and I am a PGY-1 Community-Based Pharmacy Resident with Albertsons Companies in partnership with the University of California, Irvine. I earned my Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Chapman University School of Pharmacy, where I developed a passion for community-based practice, patient education, and public health. I have worked in the retail pharmacy setting for over three years, where I gained experience in direct patient counseling, immunization delivery, and medication therapy management. My current research project, Assessing Community Pharmacist Comfort and Willingness to Provide Long-Acting Injectable Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD), focuses on identifying knowledge gaps and evaluating the impact of targeted education on pharmacist comfort and willingness to provide MOUD services. I am dedicated to advancing the role of community pharmacists in improving medication accessibility, adherence, and health outcomes for diverse populations.
