Austin Pothikamjorn, BA, is a research assistant in the Division of Addiction Psychiatry at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) in Boston, MA. Austin received his B.A. in Neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania in 2025. At Penn, he worked with Heath Schmidt, PhD, investigating the efficacy of GLP-1R agonists to treat opioid use disorder. After graduating, he joined Kevin Hill, MD, MHS, at BIDMC, studying substance use disorders, including opioid and cannabis use. He is an incoming medical student.
