Kakra Boye-Doe, MD is a third year resident in psychiatry at Northwestern university (McGaw Medical Center). He was selected as one of 19 scholars to participate in a year-long research fellowship (REACH) aimed at recognizing and eliminating disparities in addiction through culturally informed care. Through his time as a fellow he conducted literature review on relationship between substance use disorder and ADHD, specifically looking to see if early treatment of ADHD can decrease risk of later development of substance use disorder. He hopes to continue to combine his interest in child and adolescent psychiatry and addiction.
