Marina Gaeta Gazzola is a third-year resident physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine/ Bellevue Hospital Center in New York, New York and a post-doctoral research fellow at the APT Foundation Inc, a not-for-profit, low-barrier opioid treatment program based in New Haven, Connecticut. Her scholarship focuses on emergency department-based interventions to reduce the harms associated with substance use and improving treatment experiences and engagement for people with high levels of social vulnerability, such as those experiencing homelessness or with criminal-legal system involvement. She looks forward to pursing a fellowship in Addiction Medicine upon finishing her residency training.
