Dr Imran Ghauri MD CCFP AM (c) ISAM (c) CSAM is a UK trained physician working in Emergency Medicine during which time he gained valuable insight into the lack of care available to patients with addiction concerns.
While working in the Emergency Room he gained further training in order to deal with patients and manage concerns related to OAT and Alcohol dependence.
On moving to Canada , Dr Ghauri went on to gain further training and expertise int he full spectrum of Addictions, consolidating his prior experience, and to work exclusively in the field of Addiction Medicine. Dr Ghauri works now with the Virtual Opioid Dependency Program in Alberta which is a well renowned and highly regarded , innovative provincial service aimed at tackling the Opioid Crisis.
As one of the Lead physicians Dr Ghauri, along with other roles, manages the research programe alongside Dr Zobell to bring forward the new,informed and innovative practices in managing the ongoing concerns with managing this widespread issue.
