Judy Chertok, MD is an Associate Professor and Director of Addiction Medicine in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Pennsylvania. She is the inaugural Program Director for the newly formed Fellowship in Addiction Medicine. She developed and continues to lead the Medication for Opiate Use Disorder (MOUD) Program at Penn Family Care and co-developed the Addiction Consult service at Penn Medicine. She also works with Prevention Point Philadelphia in the Mobile Overdose Surge Bus Program to provide mobile community outreach including harm reduction services, MOUD care, and COVID Vaccinations in overdose “hot spots” in Philadelphia. She has developed educational programs in addiction medicine for residents, medical students, and practicing physicians. She has received multiple awards for education and primary care, and is board certified in both Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine.
