Originally from New York, Dr. Cavaliere earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Miami and completed dual doctorate and master’s degrees at Lipscomb University. He completed two residencies, one in pharmacy practice and the other in psychiatric pharmacy. He helped open the inpatient behavioral health pharmacy at Luminis Health in Annapolis before returning to the University of Maryland in 2022. Now, he is the clinical assistant director of pharmacy at Spring Grove where he oversees all clinical pharmacy activities and precepts both students and residents. His practice interests include addiction medicine, treatment-resistant schizophrenia, catatonia, serotonin syndrome, and LGBTQIA+ health.
