Ruchi M. Fitzgerald, MD, FAAFP is a family and addiction medicine physician and Service Chief of the Addiction Medicine Consult Service at PCC Community Wellness Center-MacNeal Hospital (Loyola Medicine). PCC Community Wellness Center is a federally qualified health care center that serves medically underserved populations on the West side of Chicago. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School and completed her family medicine residency with the Montana Family Medicine Residency in 2012, and her Addiction Medicine Fellowship at Rush University Medical Center in 2020. Her career integrates clinical addiction care with health equity–driven policy and advocacy efforts for individuals and communities affected by substance use disorders. She was named a National Academy of Medicine James C. Puffer Fellow in 2022.
