Renita is a dedicated pharmacist with over 30 years of diverse experience in the pharmaceutical field. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from The Ohio State University in 1995 and later obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from the University of Florida in 2014.
Throughout her career, Renita has amassed extensive experience across various pharmacy settings, including retail pharmacy, mail-order pharmacy with pharmacy benefit managers Medco and Express Scripts, long-term acute care hospitals (LTACH), and physical rehabilitation hospitals.
Currently, she serves as the Pharmacy Specialist for MetroHealth Hospital at the Cuyahoga County Correctional Facility in Cleveland, Ohio. In this role, she collaborates with chronic care, mental health and addiction providers, to provide comprehensive medical services to inmates. Her work focuses on advocating for patients with mental health diagnoses and substance use disorders, ensuring they receive appropriate medication management and support during incarceration and upon reentry into the community.
Renita’s commitment to patient care and her diverse experience make her a valuable asset in the field of correctional pharmacy, where she continues to make a significant impact on the lives of those she serves.
