Dr. Jason D. Kirby, DO, MBA, DFASAM, is a nationally recognized leader in Addiction Medicine and currently serves as Chief Medical Officer of Recovery Centers of America. Recently named a Distinguished Fellow of ASAM, he brings a unique blend of clinical expertise, policy insight, and strategic leadership to advancing evidence-based addiction care. Dr. Kirby previously served as President of the Tennessee Society of Addiction Medicine and now holds a national leadership role as Treasurer on ASAM’s Executive Board, where he also chairs the Finance Committee. He currently sits as member of the Legislative Committee at the Pennsylvania Society of Addiction Medicine, member of ASAM's Steering Committee, and co-chair of ASAM Opioid Use Disorder Guidelines Revision Commitee. Dr. Kirby also co-authored the Medical Management in Residential Care chapter of the ASAM Criteria 4th Edition.
Board-certified in Addiction Medicine, his work spans clinical care, healthcare economics, and policy, with a focus on expanding access, improving quality, and shaping the future of addiction treatment. He also contributes to national guidelines and peer review of national addiction journal publications, is a Fellow of the American Osteopathic Academy of Addiction Medicine, and currently serves as a Health Policy Fellow with AACOM, reflecting his ongoing commitment to driving meaningful change in healthcare systems and patient outcomes.
