I am an addiction scientist and physician–public health researcher whose work focuses on understanding the social, environmental, and biological factors that shape substance use disorders and related health disparities. My research examines stimulant use, polysubstance use, and HIV-related comorbidities, with a particular emphasis on rural and underserved populations. Drawing on training in medicine, public health, and epidemiology, I use population-based and longitudinal data to inform equitable, community-relevant approaches to addiction prevention, treatment access, and health education.
