Margaret Shang MD MS is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics in the Divisons of General Internal Medicine and General Academic Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She also serves as the program director for the UPMC Adolescent and Young Adult Addiction Medicine Fellowship. Clinically, she provides Med-Peds primary care and substance use disorder treatment in outpatient and inpatient settings. Her interests are in quality improvement and program development and evaluation for harm reduction integration in clinical settings, provision of low-barrier care, building workfoce capacity, and adolescent substance use.
