Jean Wang, MD FRCPC is a General Internal Medicine Fellow and Addiction Medicine Fellow at the University of British Columbia. She completed her undergraduate medical degree and core internal medicine residency in Ottawa, where she developed a keen interest in social determinants of health and serving inner city populations. In the past, she has been involved in various projects including the Homeless Health Research Network, assisting in the development of the first Canadian Clinical Guidelines for homelessness in the Canadian Medical Association Journal. In the future, Jean is interested in examining and optimizing our current treatments for opioid use disorder in the fentanyl era from a research perspective.
