Hi everyone! My name is Amanda "Mandy" Perez, MD, and I am a second-year resident in the internal medicine primary care program at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. I was born and raised in Miami, Florida and completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Miami. I then completed medical school at the University of Pennsylvania. I am currently one of the REACH 2.0 scholars for the 2025-2026 academic year and am one of the recipients of the 2026 Ruth Fox Scholarship through ASAM. Once I am done with residency, I hope to complete an addiction medicine fellowship and practice as both a primary care and addiction medicine physician. I am particularly passionate about immigrant health and providing equitable care, including care for substance use disorders, for undocumented Latinx patients.
