Michael Frank, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and practices at Denver Health and Hospital Authority. He completed Internal Medicine residency at the University of Colorado and is dual Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Addiction Medicine. Specializing in delivering primary care for people after release from incarceration, his positions include serving as PI for a CDC Overdose Data to Action and a HRSA Quality Improvement Fund - Transitions in Care for Justice-Involved Invidividuals grants; Team Leader for the Denver Health Corrections Transitions Clinic; Medical Director of Denver Health's Correctional Care Medical Facility. Dr. Frank has two peer-reviewed publications regarding the health of JI-R, presented research at local, state, and national forums and conferences, and directs clinical and didactic courses about criminal-legal system involvement and health.
