Rebecca Schapiro, MD, MPH, is a second-year resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where she also completed her medical training. Originally from Atlanta, GA, her academic interests include perinatal addiction medicine, health equity, harm-reduction practices, and the use of mixed methods to explore patient perceptions of their medical care. Her prior research has focused on stigma experienced by peripartum patients receiving medications for opioid use disorder.
