Sanya Dronawat, MPH Candidate, is a Master’s student in Sociomedical Sciences at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University. She holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, which informs her quantitative and analytical approach to public health research. Her work investigates the sociological underpinnings of health outcomes, including how structural racism, social exclusion, and psychosocial belonging shape substance use and health disparities among marginalized populations. Sanya aspires to become a physician-scientist, integrating clinical practice with sociomedical research to advance equity in health outcomes.
