Olivia Holodnik, DO is an Addiction Medicine Fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. She completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina and earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Holodnik’s clinical and academic interests focus on care for patients with substance use disorders in acute care settings, particularly within the emergency department and SUD bridge clinic models. Her scholarly work includes research on emergency department–initiated buprenorphine and patient perspectives on treatment for opioid use disorder. Areas of interest include expanding access to evidence-based treatment for substance use disorders and improving transitions of care for patients presenting to acute care settings.
