Zhanette Coffee, PhD, APRN, FNP-C, CARN-AP, is an Addiction Specialist Clinician at Boulder Care and a Designated Campus Colleague Associate at the University of Arizona College of Nursing. She is also a member of the Comprehensive Center for Pain and Addiction and faculty in the Harm Reduction Research Laboratory at the University of Arizona. Dr. Coffee is a postdoctoral-trained nurse scientist and clinician-researcher, dual-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Addictions Registered Nurse–Advanced Practice, with expertise in addiction medicine, chronic pain, mental health, and integrative health. Her work bridges frontline clinical practice and research to advance whole-person, evidence-based addiction treatment, emphasizing the development and dissemination of multilevel care models that strengthen retention, provider sustainability, and patient outcomes in real-world settings. With leadership experience spanning addiction treatment, pain management, intensive care, public health, nursing education, and prior service in law enforcement, she brings a systems-informed perspective to addressing complex health challenges at the intersection of care delivery, workforce well-being, and health equity.
