Paula Nunes is a MSc student at UBC and the British Columbia Centre on Substance Use (BCCSU), conducting longitudinal research combining biosample and behavioral data to examine relationships between childhood trauma and risk of non-fatal drug overdose. As a Latinx international student, she brings a multidisciplinary perspective focused on modifiable factors to inform prevention and intervention strategies rooted in social determinants of health.
