Dennis Goodstein, PharmD is a clinical pharmacy specialist in addiction medicine and pain management at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. As a collaborative practice pharmacist within the Jefferson Addiction Multidisciplinary Service (JAMS), he focuses on opioid stewardship, withdrawal management, and MOUD initiation. He has contributed to institutional initiatives including opioid withdrawal guidelines, an inpatient long-acting injectable buprenorphine pathway, and dexmedetomidine protocols. Dennis has contributed to research on opioid and alpha-2 agonist withdrawal management and has presented on substance use disorder topics locally and nationally. He is passionate about teaching, precepting pharmacy and medical learners, and destigmatizing care for patients living with SUD.
