Jim Duffy is the founding director of Smoke Works, a national harm reduction initiative advancing access to pipes as a novel strategy for HIV and overdose prevention. For the past five years, he has led national efforts to expand the impact of harm reduction beyond just syringe service. Drawing on both lived and professional experience, he brings firsthand insight to his leadership and advocacy.
Under his direction, Smoke Works has distributed over 5 million pipes nationwide, making existing harm reduction resources accessible to people who use stimulants, and providing choice to those otherwise restricted to injecting.
