This workshop examines how Community Advisory Boards can operationalize patient-centered care in addiction treatment. Through discussion and shared experience, participants will identify practical approaches to recruitment, engagement, and ethical collaboration with people engaging in treatment services.

Learners will be able to:

Describe the role and benefits of Community Advisory Boards (CABs) in advancing patient-centered, equitable, and effective addiction treatment.
Identify key steps and ethical considerations in developing, implementing, and sustaining CABs within addiction treatment settings.
Apply strategies for engaging patients and community members as partners in program design and quality improvement efforts.
