Emily Rider-Longmaid, MD, MBE is a second-year Adolescent Medicine Fellow at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She graduated from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where she received both her MD and her Masters in Bioethics. She then completed her residency in Internal Medicine – Primary Care at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where she currently serves on the Ethics Committee. Her clinical interests include addiction medicine, gender-affirming care, and reproductive health. Her research focuses on expanding addiction medicine services for adolescents as well as the intersection of bioethics and gender-affirming care. She will be joining the University of California, San Francisco as faculty in both the Internal Medicine and Adolescent Medicine Divisions in the fall of 2025.
